From Galliano-Era, Dior To Couture, vintage fashion trends are hitting 2022 says Vogue
If you haven’t noticed, vintage is making a comeback on the fashion runway, but also transcending to table setting.

for that particular year, inspire us. After all, whatever people like to wear, they like to see, and no better place than in their own home dazzling their guests, whether families or friends.

So why is vintage so in?
In one sentence: one-of-a-kind pieces with cult followings. And scarcity. Frills, intricacies, delicacies, bold statements and colours. The 1900’s was filled with different bold movements and in the same way inspired the history of fashion (and tableware).

"Ruffles and frills were an everyday occurrence and a part of our grandmother's home. Whether it was on the neck, on a doily, on the table - the ruffles were adored" says Carolyn Dorrian-Potgieter founder of Mrs Tablescape
With the move to more sustainable fashion, we don’t want to see duplicated pieces running adrift across the globe. The same goes for tableware.

Hattie Hawksworth, editor-in-chief at Farfetch, says “…when an iconic designer leaves a house, we always see interest accelerate, as customers want to get hold of that designer’s last collection”.
It is the thought that a collection is limited and unique to that individual.
